Parking Guidance System - Initialization Procedure
PRE-DELIVERY SERVICE
PD068-06
Title:
INITIALIZATION OF ADVANCED
PARKING GUIDANCE SYSTEM
Models:
'07 LS 460
September 22, 2006
Introduction
The Advanced Parking Guidance System assists the driver during parking and parallel parking by displaying an image of the area behind the vehicle and
controlling the steering wheel with the vehicle in reverse.
As a result of removing the DCC fuses or disconnecting the battery, the power source to the steering angle sensor is cut off. When the DCC fuses are
reinstalled or the battery terminal is reconnected, the rear view monitor will be operative, but it cannot assist back up parking operation because the
center position recognized by the steering angle sensor may not be initialized.
Initialize the Advanced Parking Guidance System after installing the DCC fuses during Pre-delivery Service (PDS) at the dealership.
NOTE:
Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, the Advanced Parking Guidance System MUST be re-initialized.
