REMOVAL

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
2. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
6. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER
7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
8. DISCONNECT STEERING SLIDING YOKE WITH SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY
9. DISCONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH
10. DISCONNECT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY RH
11. REMOVE POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY
12. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR
13. DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
14. REMOVE FRONT DISC
15. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE DUST COVER LH
16. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a)
Remove the clip and nut.
(b) Install 2 spacers (SST spacer A) onto the front No. 1 suspension lower arm assembly LH so that there is a space of approximately 1 mm
between the arm and spacers.

NOTICE:

Make sure to install the spacers (SST spacer A) as the steering knuckle spacer may shift.
^
As SST may become damaged, make sure the space between the arm and spacers is not 1 mm or less.
