Parking Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
Installation

PARKING BRAKE: ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ECU: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ECU

(a) Install the parking brake ECU with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 N·m (56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

(c) Install the seat belt control ECU with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 N·m (56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf)

(d) Connect the 2 connectors.

2. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk

3. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk / Liftgate Spring/Service and

Repair/Installation

4. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk / Liftgate Spring/Service and

Repair/Installation

5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk /

Liftgate Spring/Service and Repair/Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Installation
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

9. PERFORM CALIBRATION

(a) Clear the electric parking brake ECU memory and acquire tension sensor zero point See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.
