ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal
4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service
and Repair/Removal
5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /
Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal
6. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the luggage door opening switch.

1. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the 2 claws and door opening switch.
2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /
Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Installation
3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service
and Repair/Installation
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Installation
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Installation
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
