CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: DCM(TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

When replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), perform the vehicle contract setting    See: Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool
Testing and Procedures/DCM Activation.

*

The safety connect device uses the DCM (telematics transceiver) to provide access to the network service.

*

The telematics transceiver has a DCM ID (described on the label attached to the DCM (telematics transceiver)).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

w/ Navigation System (for HDD):

After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table
before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

11. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET

(a) Remove the 3 bolts.
