(d) Install the bearing caps    See: Service and Repair/Camshaft (For Bank 1)/Installation.

NOTICE:
Do not turn the camshaft.

(e) Install the camshaft housing    See: Service and Repair/Camshaft (For Bank 1)/Installation.

NOTICE:
Do not turn the camshaft.

(f) Remove the bearing caps    See: Service and Repair/Camshaft (For Bank 1)/Removal.

(g) Measure the Plastigage at its widest point.

Maximum oil clearance:

(h) If the oil clearance is greater than the maximum, replace the camshaft. If necessary, replace the camshaft housing.
