Removal
BRAKE CONTROL: SKID CONTROL BUZZER: REMOVAL
NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or
the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and
open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table
before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and

6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and

7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper

8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and

9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

10. REMOVE SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
If the buzzer connector is disconnected with the buzzer installed to the vehicle, the clamp of the buzzer may be damaged. Make sure to
remove the buzzer according to the procedures below.
(a) Detach the clamp and remove the buzzer from the extension panel.
