The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Removal

and Replacement/Rear Brake/Removal

3. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH   See: Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear Stabilizer Bar/Removal

4. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Air Suspension)

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the shock absorber from axle carrier side.

5. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Air Suspension)

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the pneumatic cylinder from axle carrier side.

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH   See: Rear Lower Arm/Removal

7. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH   See: Wheel Hub/Service and Repair/Rear Axle Hub/Removal

8. DISCONNECT TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH   See: Wheel Hub/Service and Repair/Rear Axle Hub/Removal

9. REMOVE REAR UPPER NO. 1 CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the nut on the rear axle carrier side.

(b) Install 2 spacers (SST spacer A) onto the rear upper No. 1 control arm so that there is a space of approximately 1 mm (0.039 in.) between the

arm and spacers.
