Rear Knuckle Alignment Link: Service and Repair
Removal
SUSPENSION: TOE CONTROL LINK: REMOVAL

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR LH See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed
Sensor/Service and Repair/Rear Speed Sensor/Removal
3. REMOVE LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET See: Sensors and Switches - Suspension/Ride Height Sensor/Service and
Repair/Height Control Sensor (for Rear LH)/Removal
4. REMOVE TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the nut on the rear axle carrier side.
(b) Install 2 spacers (SST spacer B) onto the toe control link so that there is a space of approximately 1 mm (0.039 in.) between the arm and
spacers.

NOTICE:
*
Make sure to install the spacers (SST spacer B) as the axle carrier spacer may shift.
*
As SST may become damaged, make sure the space between the arm and spacers is not 1 mm (0.039 in.) or less.
(c) Using SST, disconnect the toe control link from the axle carrier.

NOTICE:
*
Do not damage the dust cover.
*
As the dust cover may be damaged, adjust SST with the center nut so that the body and crow are parallel.
*
Make sure to tie the string of to the vehicle to prevent SST from dropping.
