Removal

THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH   See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH   See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL   See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

4. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY   See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

5. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)   See: Accessories and Optional

Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Distance Sensor/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the cover.

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the hood lock nut cap.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

(c) Disconnect the connector.

(d) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock.
