The message plays only once per ignition cycle.

II. When an error is detected, check the air interface specification sheet for ways to contact the Lexus Link call center. Errors are saved

into the ECU nonvolatile memory as a log of past errors. Past and current error codes can be displayed or deleted through the LED
illumination pattern codes.

Current Error Codes (please perform these checks).

a. To display the current error codes, first turn the ignition switch OFF. Then, hold the "play" button or the "Volume up" button. With the

button pressed, turn the ignition switch ON, OFF, ON, OFF and then ON within 15 seconds.

If the operation is successful, the Lexus Link system will communicate its diagnosis message by illuminating all 3 LEDs at the same time.
The diagram shows the timing of the 3 LED blinking patterns. If an LED is faulty, an audio message will play: Code one. LED failure."

b. After the LED illumination pattern codes are finished, an audio message will play: "Diagnostics complete." Turning the ignition switch

OFF and turning it ON again will erase current error codes.

NOTE:

If the "service","emergency", "play" or "volume up" button is stuck, this diagnostic check cannot be made.

If the DSP or the microcomputer in the ECU is malfunctioning, the diagnostic audio message may not play.

If the voice message, "System OK" is confirmed, there is no problem with the Lexus Link system. If error codes are displayed, refer to the
Technical Information System (TIS): 2004 RX 330 Repair Manual: Diagnostic: Lexus Link System for troubleshooting.

CAUTION:

Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and wait for approximately 30 seconds. Then, disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from
the battery and wait for 90 seconds. Then you may start working on the vehicle. Disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable within 10
seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position will activate the Lexus Link system using the back-up battery and cause the
system to make an emergency call. Working on the vehicle within 90 seconds after the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected may (deploy
the SRS using the SRS's back-up power source.
