1. Remove the curtain shield airbag assy LH from the tire.
2. Place the curtain shield airbag assy LH in a plastic bag, tie the end tightly and dispose of it in the same way as for other general parts disposal.

Replacement

REPLACEMENT

HINT:  Replacement procedure of the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION
2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
3. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY

4. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSY LH

a. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector of the curtain shield airbag assy LH.
b. Remove the 9 bolts and the curtain shield airbag assy LH in the order shown in the illustration.

5. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG ASSY LH

a. Install the curtain shield airbag assy LH with the 9 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
