NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and

5. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

8. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Wheel/Service and Repair/Removal

9. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

10. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and

11. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Remove the spiral cable with steering angle sensor    See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service

and Repair/Removal.

NOTICE:
*

Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on (IG).

*

Do not rotate the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on (IG).

*

Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.

*

Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
