Removal

Up to 08/2009

2GR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension)

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before service    See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Service Precautions/Suspension

2. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal    See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal.

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Coolant/Service and Repair

8. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

11. DISCONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

12. REMOVE BATTERY   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

15. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator.

(b) Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the bolt and radiator reserve tank from the radiator.
