(c) Remove the bolt.
(d) Disconnect the hose from the duty vacuum switching valve and remove the duty vacuum switching valve.

2. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system See: Restraint
Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
8. REMOVE BATTERY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
11. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
12. REMOVE DUTY VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE
(a) Disconnect the 3 vacuum hoses and separate the 2 vacuum hoses from the hose clamp.
