Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair
Installation
Up to 08/2009
METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
(a) Install the light control rheostat with the 2 screws.
2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
3. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Installation
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Air Suspension)
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
6. INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Air Suspension)
(a) Inspect the suspension control system See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Air Suspension System/Test Mode Procedure.
