Engine Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

Up to 08/2009

2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Install a new gasket onto the engine coolant temperature sensor.

(b) Install the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket.

Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY   See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Installation

5. INSTALL BATTERY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Testing and Inspection

9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation

10. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service

and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (w/ Air Suspension)   See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Strut / Shock

12. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly    See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

Motor/Installation.

13. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
