Heated Glass Element Switch: Service and Repair
Removal

WINDOW / GLASS: WINDSHIELD DEICER SWITCH: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Air Suspension)
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal
4. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal
5. REMOVE FRONT WIPER DEICER SWITCH
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front wiper deicer switch as shown in the illustration.
