FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM: INSTALLATION

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM

(a) Install the front lower arm bushing stopper to the front lower suspension arm.

(b) Install the front lower suspension arm to the front frame assembly with the 3 bolts and nut, but do not tighten them yet.

(c) Tighten the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

Bolt 1, 2 - Torque : 200 Nm (2039 kgf-cm, 147 ft-lbf)

Bolt 3 - Torque : 135 Nm (1377 kgf-cm, 100 ft-lbf)

HINT
Install the bolts on the front side of the vehicle first.

2. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

3. INSTALL FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Installation

4. INSTALL STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY (for AWD)   See: Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR WITH FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

6. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET LH (for AWD)   See: Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Front Stabilizer Bar/Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET RH (for AWD)

Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

8. INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE
