Do not overtighten the vise.
(b) Using a hammer, remove the lower control arm pin from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Lower Arm/Removal
4. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake line from the rear flexible hose.
NOTICE:

Do not bend or damage the brake line.
*
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line.
(b) Remove the clip and separate the rear flexible hose.
(c) Remove the bolt and separate the rear flexible hose from the rear upper control arm assembly.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts and rear disc brake caliper assembly with rear flexible hose.
5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and

6. REMOVE REAR DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear

7. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed
