Applicability

The information contained in this TSIB supersedes the information in TSIB No. EL004-07. The key changes to note are:

Applicability has been updated to include 2006 model year RX 330, 2007 - 2009 RX 350, and 2006 - 2008 RX 400h vehicles.

Repair Procedure now consists of 2 sections: Mirror ECU Replacement and Mirror Actuator Replacement (2004 - 2005 MY RX 330 only).

TSIB No. EL004-07 is Obsolete and any printed versions should be discarded. Be sure to review the entire content of this service bulletin before
proceeding.

Introduction

Some 2004 - 2006 model year RX 330 2007 - 2009 model year RX 350 and 2006 - 2008 model year RX 400h vehicles may experience a condition
where one or both of the outer rear view mirrors will not automatically return to the proper position when shifting from reverse to drive. A newly
designed mirror ECU is available to correct this condition. For 2004 - 2005 model year RX 330 vehicles it is also necessary to replace the mirror
actuator. This condition does not affect the manual operation of the exterior mirrors from the adjustment switch.
