Introduction

Some vehicles may exhibit a condition where the power back door will make a "popping" or "creaking" noise from the power back door unit. The power
back door drive assembly has been improved to remedy this condition. Use the following procedure to remove and replace the power back door drive
assembly.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first,
from the vehicle's in-service date.
