October 21, 2005: The Front Brake Shim Kit part number has been updated in the "Parts Information" section. The difference between the original and
new rotor has been clarified by red circles in the illustration of the "Introduction" section Previous versions of this TSIB should be discarded.

Introduction

The front brake rotors have been changed to help reduce a high pitch brake squeal during light brake application when the brakes are cold.

2005 model year RX 330 (TMK) vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown in this TSB.

2006 model year RX 400h vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown in this TSB.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
