11. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE HOLD DOWN SPRING NO. 2 PIN (for 2WD)

a. Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring No. 2 pin from the backing plate.

12. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR (for 4WD)
13. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT (for 4WD)
14. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)

15. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE HOLD DOWN SPRING NO. 1 PIN (for 4WD)

a. Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring No. 1 pin from the backing plate.

16. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER

a. Using a screwdriver, remove the C-washer.
b. Remove the shim and parking brake shoe lever from the parking brake No. 2 shoe assembly.

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT BRAKE DISC INSIDE DIAMETER

a. Using a brake drum gauge or equivalent tool, measure the inside diameter of the disc.

Standard inside diameter: 190 mm (7.48 inch)
Maximum inside diameter: 191 mm (7.52 inch)
If the inside diameter is more than the maximum, replace the disc.
