If the steering wheel is off-center, then perform an alignment and road test on the vehicle to confirm the condition is corrected.

2.

Determine if the pulling/drifting to the right is caused by the tires, alignment settings, or the power steering computer.

If the tires are non-unidirectional, cross-rotate the left and right front tires.

If the tires are unidirectional, then proceed to step 3C (measure and adjust the vehicle alignment to within specifications).

Perform a road test on the vehicle to determine if the direction of pull has changed.

A.

If the vehicle pull/drift is eliminated, then the probable cause is tire conicity, and the repair is completed.

B.

If the pull/drift has reversed (i.e., now pulls to the left), then refer to TSB No. ST004-01, "Repair Manual Supplement: Vehicle Pulling to
One Side."

C.

If the tire rotation did NOT change the pulling/drifting condition, then measure and adjust the vehicle alignment to within specifications.

D.

Increase right front camber and decrease left front camber.

NOTE:

Do NOT exceed 1° of cross camber.

Do NOT exceed adjustment specification range.

E.

If the vehicle still exhibits a pull/drift to the right after performing the alignment, then replace the power steering computer assembly (P/N
89650-48010).
