Headlamp Alignment Control Module: Service and Repair
Installation

LIGHTING (EXT): AFS ECU: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AFS ECU

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the AFS ECU with the nut.

(c) Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

5. CHECK VEHICLE HEIGHT (w/ Air Suspension)

(a) Change the height control switch from the "NORM" position to the "HIGH" position and back to the "NORM" position.

(b) Measure the vehicle height    See: Maintenance/Alignment/Service and Repair/Front Wheel Alignment ( Service Manual ).

6. ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (w/ Air Suspension)

(a) Adjust the vehicle height    See: Relays and Modules/Relays and Modules - Steering and Suspension/Relays and Modules -

Suspension/Suspension Main Relay/Testing and Inspection.

7. REGISTER VEHICLE INFORMATION

   See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Exterior Lighting System/Initialization

8. HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SIGNAL INITIALIZATION (w/o Air Suspension)

   See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Exterior Lighting System/Initialization

9. PREPARE VEHICLE FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT (for LED Headlight)   See: Headlamp/Adjustments/Headlight Assembly (for

LED Headlight)

10. PREPARE FOR HEADLIGHT AIMING (Using a headlight aim test machine) (for LED Headlight)

Using a headlight aim test machine:    See: Headlamp/Adjustments/Headlight Assembly (for LED Headlight)

Using a screen:    See: Headlamp/Adjustments/Headlight Assembly (for LED Headlight)

11. INSPECT HEADLIGHT AIMING (for LED Headlight)   See: Headlamp/Adjustments/Headlight Assembly (for LED Headlight)

12. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (for LED Headlight)   See: Headlamp/Adjustments/Headlight Assembly (for LED Headlight)

13. PREPARE VEHICLE FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT (except LED Headlight)   See: Headlamp/Adjustments/Headlight Assembly
