(a) Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly    See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Service and Repair/Rear Axle

Hub/Installation.

HINT

The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the sensor malfunctions, replace the rear axle
hub and bearing assembly.

If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace it together with the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

2. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS   See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Rear Axle Hub

3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT   See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Rear Axle Hub

4. INSTALL REAR DISC   See: Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Brake/Installation

5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG   See: Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear

6. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY   See: Parking Brake System/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

7. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR WIRE

(a) Connect the connector to the rear speed sensor.

(b) Install the No. 1 bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

8. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER   See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Lower

Arm/Installation

9. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

11. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

12. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

13. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
