HYBRID / BATTERY CONTROL: INVERTER WITH CONVERTER: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

HINT

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER   See: Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch/Service and Repair/Service

Plug Grip/Removal

4. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP   See: Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch/Service and Repair/Service Plug

Grip/Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

6. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter)   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair/Coolant (For Inverter)

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE

8. REMOVE NO. 3 INVERTER BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the water hose with the clamp from the No. 3 inverter bracket.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 3 inverter bracket.

9. REMOVE INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hose from the inverter reserve tank.

(b) Slide the 3 hose clamps, and disconnect the 3 water hoses from the inverter reserve tank assembly.

(c) Remove the bolt, nut and inverter reserve tank assembly.
