Engine Control Module: Component Tests and General Diagnostics
ECU Pin-Out Tests
The fuel injection circuit can be checked by measuring the resistance and voltage at the wiring connectors of the ECM.
1.
Disconnect connectors from ECM, then remove locks from connectors.
2.
Reconnect connectors to ECM.
3.
Tester probes should be inserted into wiring connector from wiring side.
4.
Inspect voltage of ECM, noting the following:
a. Perform all voltage measurements with connectors connected.
b. Verify battery voltage is 11 volts or more with ignition switch On.
c. Refer to Fig. 44, for terminals to be tested and specifications.
