Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT 

HINT:  COMPONENTS  See: Brakes and Traction Control/Diagrams

1. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1

4. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the skid control ECU assembly and skid control buzzer assembly connectors.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and skid control ECU assembly.

5. REMOVE SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY

a. Using pliers, remove the skid control buzzer assembly.

6. INSTALL SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

a. Install the skid control ECU assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)

b. Connect the skid control ECU assembly and skid control buzzer assembly connectors.

8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1
9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH

10. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH
11. PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
12. PERFORM STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
13. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
