4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Items 1 and 3: Camshaft Roller Followers Removal Note
1. NOTE: Position the piston of the cylinder to be serviced at the bottom of the stroke and the camshaft at base circle.
Using the special tool, partially compress the intake valve spring and remove the camshaft roller follower.
2. Using the special tool, partially compress the exhaust valve spring and remove the camshaft roller follower.
Items 2 and 4: Hydraulic Lash Adjusters Removal Note
1. NOTE: Mark the location of the hydraulic lash adjusters to make sure they are assembled in their original position.
Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.
Items 3 and 1: Camshaft Roller Followers Installation Note
1. NOTE: Position the piston of the cylinder to be serviced at the bottom of the stroke and the camshaft at base circle.
Using the special tool, partially compress the exhaust valve spring and install the camshaft roller follower.
