Item 12: Oil Pump Installation Note
1. NOTE: Oil pump must be held against block until bolts are tightened.
Align the inner rotor of the oil pump assembly to align with the flats on the crankshaft, and slide the oil pump toward the block until it is seated
against the block.
2. Rotate the oil pump assembly to align with the bolt holes.
Item 10: Oil Pump Screen and Pickup Tube Installation Note
1. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil before installation.
Install O-ring seal.
Item 6: Oil Pan Installation Note
1. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in three stages:

Stage 1: Tighten to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).

Stage 2: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
^
Stage 3: Tighten an additional 60°.
