Camshaft: Service and Repair
1. Remove timing chains.
2. Rotate crankshaft key counterclockwise 45° from vertical. Ensure pistons are below top of engine deck face.
CAUTION: Crankshaft must be in position prior to rotating camshafts or piston and/or valve damage may result if all rocker arms have not been
removed.

3. Remove camshaft cap cluster assembly attaching bolts.
Camshaft Replacement
4. Remove first the exhaust then the intake camshaft cap cluster, by tapping upward on camshaft cap, then carefully remove camshaft cap and
camshaft.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
7. Tighten attaching nuts and bolts in sequence.
