Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Left Side
1. Turn suspension switch off, then disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove engine lower splash shield.
4. Disconnect oxygen sensors, then remove dual converter Y pipe.
5. Disconnect secondary air injection tube from exhaust manifold.
6. Remove nuts from exhaust manifold, then remove manifold and gasket. Discard manifold gasket.
Exhaust Manifold Tightening Sequence
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten manifold to 15--22 ft lb in sequence shown.
