7. Loosen the screw.
8. NOTE: Mark the position of the heating element.
9. Pry the block heater from the cylinder block.
Installation
1. Clean the inside diameter of the cylinder block hole machined surface and hole entrance.
2. Apply a liberal coating of Premium Long Life Grease XG-I-C or -K or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M1C75-B to block heater
O-ring and cylinder block opening.
3. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
4. Tighten the screw.
NOTE: Refill the engine cooling system with a 50/50 mixture of Ford Premium Cooling System Fluid E2FZ- 1 9549-AA (in Oregon,
FSFZ-19549-CC, in Canada, CXC-8-B) or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A and water.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
