Lamp Control Module: Description and Operation
LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE
This vehicle uses a Lighting Control Module (LCM). This eliminates the electronic interference and heat associated with the thermo-electric devices
used previously.
The Lighting Control Module (LCM) is connected on the Standard Corporate Protocol (SCP) communication network. The LCM controls both
interior and exterior lighting, anti-theft functions and warning chimes.
The LCM:

Is a microprocessor based module that controls several vehicle subsystems.

Responds to electrical input signals from various switches, sensors and external modules.
^
Is located on the LH side of the instrument panel.
^
Subsystem functions include:

Headlamps with autolamps.
^
Stoplamps.
