ISSUE:
Condensate may build up on the inside glass of the passenger compartment. This may be caused by any one or more of the following conditions:

Humid ambient air
^
Cool or cold ambient air
^
Improper setting of the climate control system
^
High humidity on the inside of the vehicle due to:
^
Restricted air flow
^
Multiple occupants
^
Water leaks
^
Pressure cycling switch calibration
ACTION:
Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Check for sources of excessive interior moisture and service as required.

Wet carpet from occupants shoes/boots
^
Water leaks at front cowl, windshield A-pillars, or any other location
2.
Check for restricted air flow.
^
Remove and inspect the -19N619- filter as described on Page 12-01-2 of the appropriate Continental Service Manual
^
A dirty or restricted cabin air filter will reduce airflow and may reduce the effectiveness of the defroster system
NOTE:
THE -19N619- FILTER SHOULD BE REPLACED AT THE RECOMMENDED 24,000 KM (15,000 MILE) INTERVALS AS LISTED IN
THE VEHICLE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE. REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTER IS A NORMAL VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
EXPENSE AND IS NOT REIMBURSABLE UNDER WARRANTY.

With the cabin filter removed, look down through the air inlet and inspect the operation of the recirculation door. It should be fully closed (up
position) with the Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) system set in MAX A/C, and should be fully open (down position) in every
other operating mode. If it fails to operate correctly, follow normal Service Manual diagnostic procedures. Reinstall the air filter.
4.
On vehicles built prior to 4/28/97, install a revised Pressure Cycling Switch (F6RZ-19E561-AA) that will run the A/C compressor at lower
ambient temperatures. The compressor is intended to run whenever the ambient temperature permits the evaporator to remove moisture from the
incoming air.
