Vehicle Lifting: Description and Operation
Lifting
WARNING:

ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIR SUSPENSION, THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM
MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING THE VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY DISCONNECTING THE
BATTERY OR TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SERVICE SWITCH LOCATED IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT ON
THE LH SIDE. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS
WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.
CAUTI0N:

Do not allow the hoist adapters to contact the front wheel drive shaft joints, steering linkage, suspension arms, stabilizer bar, or compress the
stabilizer bar link insulators. Damage to suspension, exhaust and steering linkage components may occur if care is not exercised when positioning
the hoist adapters of two-post hoists prior to lifting the vehicle.

Do not attempt to use jack pressure on either the front bumper or the rear bumper of any unitized vehicle. Damage to bumper covers will occur.
Lifting Points
1. Open the luggage compartment and turn the air suspension service switch OFF before lifting the vehicle.
2. Lift the vehicle using lift points as applicable.
1. Front frame lift points.
2. Rear pinch point notches.
Drive-On Hoist Lifting Points
1. Check for interference between the upright flanges of the hoist rails and the underbody.
CAUTI0N: To prevent possible damage to the underbody, do not drive the vehicle onto the drive-on hoist without first checking for possible
