Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine appearance cover.
2. Remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve (PCV valve) from the grommet.
3. Remove the crankcase vent connector and hose from the upper intake manifold port.
4. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation valve from the crankcase vent connector and hose.
5. Shake and inspect the valve for splits or cracks. If the positive crankcase ventilation valve does not rattle, replace it.
NOTE: Cleaning of the positive crankcase ventilation valve is not recommended.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Inspect for vacuum leaks.
