Normal Operation
The check fuel cap indicator is an output signal that is controlled by the PCM. When the PCM determines that there is a failure in the vapor
management system due to the fuel cap not sealing correctly, the PCM communicates the fuel cap status to the instrument cluster over the SCP
network. The message center uses that information to display the check fuel cap message.
