Air Bag: Vehicle Damage Warnings

CAUTION:

When installing a seat side air bag module or a seat side thorax air bag module always make sure the correct module is being installed.
Seat side air bag modules and seat side thorax air bag modules are not interchangeable. The electrical connectors are different between
the modules. DO NOT damage or alter the electrical connectors.

The clockspring electrical connectors are unique and cannot be reversed when connected to the driver air bag module. Match the
electrical connector key to the keyway in the driver air bag module. Do not force the electrical connectors into the driver air bag module.

When removing the seat back trim panel, be careful not to damage the J-hooks. If the seat back trim panel J-hooks are damaged, install a
new seat back trim panel.

Inspect the seat back trim panel for damage. If the J-hooks are damaged or the pin-type retainers remain in the seat frame, replace the
panel.

Make sure the correct seat mounted air bag module is being used. The seat side air bag module and the seat side thorax air bag module
electrical connectors are unique and will not interchange. Match the electrical connector key to the keyway in the air bag module. Do not
alter or force the electrical connector into the seat mounted air bag module.
