JACKING
WARNING:
-
Do not run the engine when jacking the vehicle. The wheels contacting the ground could cause the vehicle to move.
-
Make sure to properly locate jack stands under the frame to prevent the vehicle from falling.
-
When one of the rear wheels is off the ground, the transmission alone will not prevent the vehicle from moving or slipping off the jack,
even if the transmission is in P (park) (automatic transmission) or reverse (manual transmission).
CAUTION:
-
Wheel chocks should be used to prevent the vehicle from rolling and falling off the jack.
-
Position the jack to avoid contact with the fuel tank.
