Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. 
2. Remove the power steering line clamp plate bolt and rotate the plate.

3. NOTE:  New O-ring seals must be installed any time the lines are disconnected from the steering gear.

Disconnect the high pressure line from the steering gear and discard the O-ring seal.

4. Remove the high pressure line bracket-to-crossmember bolt.
5. Remove the high pressure line bracket-to-engine bolt on the 5.4L, or the nut on the 4.2L and 4.6L.
6. Disconnect the high pressure line fitting-to-pump and remove the high pressure line.

Remove and discard the Teflon seal.
