The subject vehicles may experience erratic temperature control, air distribution control, and on vehicles with auto blower (1984-85 Crown
Victoria/Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car) erratic auto blower. These conditions may be caused by a vacuum leak at the diverter valve, located on
the servo assembly. To service this condition, replace the diverter valve with a new valve, as outlined in the following procedure.

Remove the servo from the vehicle as described in the respective vehicle shop manual. On 1984-85 Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis and Lincoln
Town Car vehicles, use fabricated service tool to remove push-nut. (Figures 2 and 3).
