Mark VII V8-302 5.0L HO (1986)
Section 21-21-15 of the 1986 and 1987 Car Shop Manuals (Step 5) incorrectly refers the technician to Figure 24 for the bolt tightening sequence for the
lower intake manifold. The technician should be referred to Figure 22 and the bolt tightening sequence should be added from Figure 3. The procedure in
Step 5 should also be revised so that the lower intake manifold bolts are tightened in sequence to first 15-20 ft.lbs. (20-27 N-m) and then to 23-25 ft.lbs.
(31-34 N-m).
