Main Relay (Computer/Fuel System): Description and Operation

There are two types of relays: the power relay and the time delay power relay. The time delay relay has a delay of 5 to 10 seconds and is used with an
actuator assembly throttle control. Both relay types consist of a movable contact in the normally open position. All power relays (except time delay) have
the same design with a different bracket attachment.

Function

EEC power relays are in parallel with the ignition switch and provide power to the EEC module. Power relays also provide reverse battery protection and
increased load handling to improve ignition switch reliability.
