Ride Height Sensor: Service and Repair

Front

1.

Turn air suspension switch to ``Off'' position.

2.

Working from engine compartment, disconnect sensor electrical connector.

3.

Push connector through access hole at rear of shock tower, then raise and support vehicle.

4.

Disconnect bottom and top ends of sensor from attaching studs as shown, Fig. 12.

5.

Disconnect wiring harness from plastic clips on shock tower and remove sensor.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.

Rear
    Whenever the front air springs have been replaced, always check rear height sensor for damage. Replace, if necessary.

1.

Turn air suspension switch to ``Off'' position.

2.

Working from luggage compartment, disconnect sensor electrical connector. Pull luggage compartment carpet back to gain access to sensor
sealing grommet.

3.

Raise and support vehicle, then disconnect bottom and top ends of sensor from the attaching studs, Fig. 12.

4.

Pushing upwards, unseat sensor from grommet, then push sensor through floor pan into luggage compartment.

5.

Reverse procedure to install.
