Attach the instrument panel ground strap (F2PZ-19A095-A) to the stud between the radio support and the radio chassis to ensure proper contact.
Before tightening the nut, position the ground strap so the crimped eyelet is located to the left (looking at front of the radio) so there is no
interference with the wiring connectors on the right side of the radio. Refer to Figures 4 and 5 for details.

Using a large pair of pliers (channel lock pliers), grasp the J-clip end of the ground strap where the J-clip is crimped. Slip the J-clip over the
vertical metal instrumentation panel brace located to the left of the radio, Figure 4.

Replace all removed components in reverse order as listed. Refer to the appropriate Lincoln Town Car Service Manual for instructions as needed.

Poor AM radio reception on weak stations, fading, noise, or interference due to the following:
1.
Ignition Noise
2.
Windshield Wiper "Pop"
3.
Windshield Wiper (Electric Motor Static)
4.
Brake "Pop"
5.
Heated Windshield
6.
Windshield Washer Motor Noise
7.
Turn Signal.
Perform the following to verify the noise concern.
1.
Ignition Noise:

Start engine.
^
Tune to a weak AM radio station.

Increase the engine RPM.
