1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect all underhood wiring connectors from main wiring harness, Fig. 36. Remove rubber grommet seal from dash panel and push wiring
harness and connectors into passenger compartment.
3. Remove steering column opening trim cover, then cover steel reinforcement, Fig. 37.
4. Remove right and left side sound insulators, Fig. 37.
5. Remove two hood release to cowl panel attaching screws, then right and left side cowl trim panels, Fig. 38.
6. Remove five steering column trim shroud attaching screws, remove shroud.
