ISSUE:
A "groaning" noise from the rear disc brakes during low speed, light pedal applications may be caused by the disc brake pad lining material.
ACTION:
Install new disc brake pads that are made from improved materials. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1.
Remove the rear disc brake lining assemblies. Refer to the appropriate Car Shop Manual, Volume B, Section 12-25 for service details.
2.
Lightly sand both rear rotors to remove glaze and high polish from the inner and outer braking surfaces.
3.
Install new rear disc brake pads (E9LY-2200-A).
